Monsaraz, “The Caste of the King” – A sure great meal pair

I had some friends home, I wanted to cook something fast but nice at the same time. So, fettuccine with smoked ham, lemon and fresh mushrooms it is.

The recipe is very simple and the result is great:

Fettuccine with Smoked Ham and Mushrooms

To drink, few bottles of Monsaraz, one of the most popular red wines in Portugal. A ruby-red color, a complex ripe fruit aroma and smooth tannins are a perfect match

Trincadeira - "Tinta Amarela"

Wines from this variety are complex but soft, very high quality and usually have an intense garnet color. The aromas are predominantly peppers and spices, with progress, they develop into notes of jam.
