Touriga Nacional

Touriga Nacional is considered to the noblest Portuguese wine grape. The wines that is produces is characterized by its recognized and undeniable quality, strong personality and unmistakable notes.
Harmonious and balance, full of color and with floral notes are some of the characteristics of this Portuguese native grape.

It plays a big part in the blends used for ports and it is also increasingly being used for Douro, Dão and Alentejo's wines.

  1. Touriga has been used in Australia for many years to make "port", but in more recent years it has become increasingly popular in table wines. There are now 31 wineries in Australia on my vinodiversity database who make wine from Touriga.
